The purpose of the conference is to assess the impact of selected demographic, economic and technical processes on functioning of social security systems (especially: pension schemes, healthcare systems and long-term care systems for the elderly) in different countries.

The conference will be an opportunity to compare economic and legal-institutional solutions used in various countries, including the effects of reforms of social security systems introduced in the first decades of the 21st century, and - to indicate the impact of new technological trends, opportunities and threats related to them, on the situation of elderly people (including mobility of the elderly, counteracting digital exclusion, modern technical and organizational solutions to help the elderly access social services and participate in cultural and social life).

The conference is interdisciplinary and it is addressed to the representatives of social sciences as well as humanities and technical ones and also to practitioners (in particular - the representatives of financial institutions offering savings, investment and pension products, state and local government institutions implementing various social policy tasks, including policies regarding seniors).
